Strength builds can be very powerful, but need high vitality, endurance AND strength, so they tend to be higher levels. Sorcerers keep their distance, dex builds rely on rolling more than blocking. As I became more skilled, I tended to forgo the farming because it seemed unnecessary.

My first few games I spent a lot of time grinding levels in the gardens, but I didnвЂ™t really summon anything other than NPCвЂ™s for bosses so it didnвЂ™t really affect me. I may also have been thinking that Darkroot Garden is one of the easiest ways to farm a bunch of souls quickly, by fighting the humans of the forest covenant (or leading them off the cliff) in the area past the locked door that requires the Crest of Artorias. I may have been thinking only of the Moonlight Butterfly, but technically that boss seems to be classified as located in the Darkroot Basin. IвЂ™m not sure what my thought process for that was. I agree that it was too low before at its previous 20+. Lots of people will have different experiences and different order of doing things, but I believe most people are getting near end game at that level.
